Accessories and Other Goodies

As amazing as they are, sometimes even Little Giant ladders can use a little help. Wing Enterprises has responded by creating a clever series of accessories that you can easily attach to your Little Giant. If you find you need one, be sure to buy a Little Giant version made by Wing. Sure, there are cheaper versions out there, but there's a reason they're cheaper: they don't fit the quality specs that Wing Enterprises demands of all of its products. We recommend you stick with the originals, but hey -- it's your neck. Literally.

While you're perusing the list of accessories, you may think: "Gosh, they don't make many." That's true, and for a very good reason: they don't need to. As you may have guessed, Little Giant ladders are so versatile that it's not all that often that you'll need a leg extender or a Wing Span, but there are circumstances where these needs can arise. There are currently 4 accessories you can purchase:

  1. One handy item is the Telescoping Plank (when comes in 6-9', 8-13', and 10-16' varieties), for those times when you split your Little Giant in two for use as a scaffold or sawhorses.
  1. Then, too, you might occasionally find yourself working at the edge of a drop-off, in which case the Leg Leveler will come in handy. Let's say you're on the outer edge of a staircase, and one leg of the ladder extends out over empty space: that's the very definition of "unstable." Fortunately you can clamp the Leg Leveler onto the unstable leg, extend it to the floor, and tada! Stability achieved.
  1. Or maybe you're working outside on the eaves of your house, and you absolutely have to lean your Little Giant against a certain spot in order to reach something safely -- but there's a window there. Well, you can lean it against the glass (a recipe for disaster), or you can attach the aforementioned Wing Span, in order to widen the ladder. This handy item lets you prop the ladder on each side of the obstacle so you can work in safety.
  2. And last but not least is the super-handy Work Platform, which is very like the platforms you'll often see on painters' ladders. This is a feature that's left off the standard Little Giant to aid in its versatility (otherwise you'd have the silly platform getting in the way all the time). You can use the platform to hold paint, nails, tools -- even you, if you weight less than 300 pounds.

Easy to Handle, Easy to Store

Whichever Little Giant you choose, you'll never have a ladder that's easier to handle and store. Even the largest standard Little Giant collapses to less than six feet in height and just a few inches in depth, and weighs no more 42 pounds (you'll have to expect a bit more from the SkyScraper industrial model, of course). Hang your Little Giant on a hook in the garage, and you're done. Consider, too, all the space you'll save by getting rid of you other ladders. Why do you need any other ladder when you have the Little Giant? The Little Giant's got them all beat when in comes to strength, stability and value. Give all your other ladders away, or have a ladder-themed garage sale. Think of all the things you can put in that extra space in your garage: your car, for example.
