History of The Little Giant Ladder Company

Wing Enterprises also known as the Little Giant Ladder Company was founded by entrepreneur Hal Wing. Over 30 years ago, Hal met a German inventor who had come up with a unique way to combine several ladder functions all into a single ladder. Recognizing the potential of a truly great product, Hal set up his company and began by importing this new fangled tool to the United States. In the beginning, he sold the Little Giant Ladder at trade shows and fairs. And as the word spread about this great new invention the rest as they say - is History...

A ladder system with bragging rights -- you bet!

He solicited the help of his family and actually assembled and shipped Little Giants out of his garage. Hal secured the licensing rights to manufacture the Little Giant Ladder in the United States. Little did he know, the product would become so popular that he and his family wouldn't be able to keep up with the demand for orders. He soon realized that in order for his dream to come true - he would have to expand his little business. So he went out on a limb and risked going into debt to purchase a manufacturing facility. Hal believed this unique ladder system would revolutionize the ladder industry with one product that could take the place of many.

This is truly a family-oriented business with immediate family as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins working side by side to make it successful. From its small beginnings as a home based business, Wing Enterprises has grown to include dealers all over North America. There truly is no reward without risk. Hal was willing to take that leap of faith and he was right!

Over the years Wing Enterprises keeps a step ahead of the pack by making sure they continuously research, improve and upgrade this ever evolving ladder. Providing useful spin off accessories for the Little Giant and the Little Jumbo has also been a successful venture.
